Espilat Mountaineering Club Hosts Himalayan Sherpas in Iran:
Nima Gyalzen and His Cousin Mingma Gyalje in Iran
Parvaneh Kazemi the Iranian mountaineering heroin, who has recently ascended two Himalayan peaks of Everest and Lhotse in single year as well as season has invited Sherpa Nima Gyalzen, who accompanied her in all hymalian expeditions—manaslu,amadabalam,Everest,Lhotse– since 2011 along with his cousin, Mingma Gyalje who is also another amazing Sherpa of Himalaya. Espilat Mountaineering and Rock Climbing Club also tried to coordinate their trip. They entered Iran via Imam Khomeini Airport on Monday in July10th, 2012.
The two well-known Sherpas are to have two-week stay in Tehran and subsequently climb Damavand Peak (5671meters), as the highest Iranian mount. They have also been invited to attend as special guests at the commemoration ceremony by Espilat Club in the honor of its heroin, Parvaneh Kazemi, which is going to be held on Wednesday for offering her climbing report to Himalaya , July 18th, 2012. They see it as a great opportunity for them to get familiar with Iranian mountaineers as well.
Espilat Club has invited them as the highly assiduous, solid, and congenial mountaineers to bestow its hearty gratitude to them; those who contribute to any successful expedition in Himalaya. It should be noted that it has been the first time that the sherpas are invited to Iran to be appreciated.
Besides, on Tuesday in July11th, 2012, these two young sherpas attended in Espilat weekly meeting to receive the gift presented and also could visit closely the club members. Espilat hopes other Iranian mountaineering clubs and groups —both private and state-run clubs– make the best of this opportunity to get more closely familiar with the two Sherpa heroes of Himalaya.
